Fire Service-Based EMS
Updated
On: Jul 09, 2008 (17:30:00)
There has been much discussion about whether it makes sense, logistically and financially, to contract out EMS in the Fairview Fire District. It would not provide the high quality of service residents are receiving today. Fire service-based EMS has many advantages. To learn more about fire service-based EMS please watch this video. Hopefully this video will be able to answer your questions. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.

Fairview Mutual Aid to the City
Updated
On: Jun 22, 2008 (22:00:00)
6/6/08 - Poughkeepsie, NY - Fairview responded mutual aid to the City of Poughkeepsie at 8:37 PM. The City of Poughkeepsie was operating at a house fire at 32 North White Street. Firefighters found heavy fire in the attic. City firefighters made an aggressive attack on the fire but had to pull back a bit due to being unable to open up the roof right away. When Tower Ladder first arrived on scene a power line broke away from the house and fell on the ladder. This made the ladder unable to be used. City firefighters still made a great stop. Fairview assisted with the Blitz Fire off of 41-11 which was positioned on the front corner once the fire became an exterior attack. 41-11 was clear of the scene at 10:24 PM. More Pictures.
