Bradley Village House Fire

Firefighters Beging Overhaul after a quick knock-down of a house fire 4/18/2011.

At 0955 hours this morning Dutchess County 911 Dispatch Center dispatched Fairview 41-11 & 41-45, along with City of Poughkeepsie Engine 2 (57-12) to a report of a fire in a utility room and kitchen at a residence on Styvestandt Drive in the Bradley Village section of the Fire District.  Fairview firefighters arrived within 3 minutes of dispatch and called out with heavy smoke coming from the residence,  immediately requesting the fire be made a  2nd Alarm assignment.

The residence recieved heavy damage to the utility and kitchen areas of the residence, as well as heat and smoke damage in the remaining area of the structure.  Assisting on the 2nd Alarm was Arlington 32-11 (FAST Team),  Mobile Life Support ALS, the Town of Poughkeepsie Police,  Town of Poughkeepsie Water Department, Town of Poughkeepsie Building Department,  and The American Red Cross.

The Fire does not appear suspicious in nature and the fire is still under investigation.
