Presentation to Fairview Commissioners & Public

May 26, 2011 POUGHKEEPSIE, NY- On May 26, 2011, a special meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners was held in order to bring the public up to speed on the 2012 budget process for the Fairview Fire District. A presentation was made by the Commission's Budget Committee, represented by Commissioner Bob Gephard. Commissioner Gephard expressed concern about potential gaps in the budget over the next few years. A presentation was then made by Local 2623, explaining the need for resources and staffing. Local 2623 also presented independent analysis of the budgeting process that was completed by a Certified Public Accountant, and expressed our concerns over how tax dollars have been allocated in recent years.
